The percale backing keeps it from sliding around at night, which is my biggest pet peeve with duvet covers. The ribbed texture adds a nice visual depth that makes the bed look way more expensive than it is, and it’s softened up beautifully after just two washes.
The garment-dyed cotton really delivers on texture—it’s got that cozy, lived-in feel from day one, yet still looks crisp on the bed. I’ve washed it three times already and the ribbing hasn’t lost its shape or softened too much. Just the right weight for year-round use in my opinion.
The percale backing is a game changer—it stays cool against my skin even on warmer nights, but the ribbed matelasse front gives it that plush, hotel-like feel. I've washed it twice already and the cotton just gets softer each time, no pilling or fading.
